A missing tag is the exchange’s problem to fix
Omit the tag on a deposit to an exchange and the XRP reaches the exchange but is not credited to you. Recovery is then up to that exchange’s support.

New addresses need a reserve
An XRP Ledger account must hold a small reserve before it becomes active. A payout smaller than that reserve into a never-used address will fail — receive into an activated address.

Which XRP networks can I use?

Do I need a memo or destination tag?

Can I lock the rate on a XRP swap?

What does a XRP swap cost?
Two things come out of a swap: the network fees of the two blockchains involved, and our margin, which is already inside the rate. Both are included in every price on this page — nothing is added after you confirm. Swapping small costs proportionally more, because network fees are fixed amounts.
Do I need an account or ID to swap XRP?
No. There is no account to create and we never ask for identity documents, at any amount. The one case where a swap can be held is spelled out in the AML policy rather than hidden — and explained in plain words on the no-KYC page.
